M3- so how did you measure the efficiency of your wind turbine
Me- sir I have copied the concept from a group of Harvard researchers, they claimed that the
angle of attack in a humb back whale flipper can be 40% more steeper before the actual stall
takes place hence increases the lift force and decreases the drag force therefore the overall
efficiency of the turbine increases.

Me- it is used to Increase the volumetric efficiency and power output of the engine by increasing
the mass flow rate

GD topic- why Indians are so much obsessed with English and should hindi be made our
common language
GT topic- suppose the Government appointed you all as a team to change the education pattern
in India how will you all design a new curriculum as the existing one has many deficiencies

Technical:
Asks mainly from the subjects I have written in the biodata form( mine thermo, FM, MS)
Q- What is alpha, gamma in iron carbon diagram?

Q- Which is denser out off ferrite and austenite? Nd Y?

Q- What to do if more viscous fluid is to be used in centrifugal pump?( they give hint to reach
upto the answer)
Ans- more power needed, so we have to reduce discharge
Q- How u will reduce discharge?
Ans- By partially closing delivery valve
Q- What will happen if delivery valve completely closed?
Q- what will b the Theroritical power consumption at the moment?

Q6: Looking at my surname they asked, you people are mostly into business, then why do you
want to go for a job?

Q8: Have you applied for any other PSU?
Q9: What do IOCL do? Tell about Some products of IOCL
Q10: Can you find any petrochemical product here infront of you?
Q11: 1-2 technical question related to discipline and further discussion on them.
Overall interview was good and the panel was very supportive.

value for water during fusion and vaporization, Phase and its types were asked

6.Iocl ke baare mein kya acha laga
I told about its awards, the work they are doing in renewable energy, their profit and turnover
7.No of refineries in iocl, what can you contribute there as mechanical engineer
8 Question on Radiator used in car and type of coolant used in it
9.What is heat exchanger and the problem occurred in it during usage
10. There are four qualities honesty, hardwork, talent and positive attitude which you will
consider most suitable and why?
I said positive attitude can give clarity in mind during adverse situation and with wrong attitude it
is difficult to cope up with even situations with small adversity. I have also given my example.

U said no problem in relocating and then said will not join CPCL. Explain.
